Neuropathology
The histopathological analysis of pituitary tumor tissue is a very important tool
for determining a proper method for long-term management of pituitary tumors. The neuropathology
service of the OHSU Pathology Department provides expertise in the pathological
diagnosis of pituitary tumors.

- Intraoperative frozen section and post-surgical permanent tissue analysis.
- Histopathologic and immunohistochemical identification of tumor tissue.
- Neuropathologists experienced in recognizing many rare and complex tumor types are available for consultation.
